Our Programs

At Rosati, we deliver programming five days a week AND during school breaks!

Co-ed Elementary School Group

Our co-ed elementary school programming (3rd-6th grade) runs from 2:30-4:30p on normal school days. This session is social emotional skill development through soccer. Each week there is a mindfulness topic that serves as a theme for discussion throughout the week. Examples include but are not limited to: let it go, be positive, de-escalate, and many more. Our model incorporates mindful breathing and meditation during each session, and is packed full of leadership opportunities. We push our participants to discuss and talk through things, rather than yelling and arguing. Experience around conflict resolution is at the heart of what we do. We consider our programs to be youth-led as each participant can engage in leadership roles daily. Our participants not only oversee play but guide our conversations during circle times to allow for feelings to be shared, traumas to be addressed, and fears to be known. They engage each other and offer support and solutions that are meaningful to their own lived experiences. We currently offer our programming in the Connors Elementary School gym 5 days per week during the school year, and during school vacations.

Middle/High School Group

Our co-ed older age group sessions maintain the same social emotional skill development goals and practices as the younger session, but also include and focus on high level soccer skill development. Our Rosati coaches are current and former college coaches who love to push our participants to help them reach their soccer and life goals.

Workforce Development Program

RLA provides workforce development initiatives and offers incentives for our youth leaders to engage in mentoring and coaching support. Time is tracked and incentive cards are given to reward effort. RLA participants frequently engage our program for multiple years, allowing them a near-peer-based experience and mentorship model to not only play soccer, but to also build leadership skills, and grow as a productive member of the Lewiston community. Middle school and high school students engage in mentorship and support coaching efforts for younger students, allowing a model for growth for each participant and an understanding of expected behavior at the program, in school, and when at home. Participants support each other, shared lived experiences, and share both positive messages as well as negative issues that impact them, with support from peers to acknowledge and offer support.
